The NEO-M8L Automotive Dead Reckoning (ADR) module from u-blox includes integrated motion, direction and elevation sensors. The module integrates gyro and accelerometer with the u-blox M8 GNSS platform to achieve a high performance indoor/outdoor positioning solution for all road vehicle and high-accuracy navigation applications.
These modules are ideal solution where navigation performance is the priority, regardless of GNSS signal quality or availability. Accident reconstruction systems can provide the location of an accident to facilitate insurance claims even if a collision occurs in a tunnel or park house. High-end navigation devices are able to guide drivers through tunnels of several kilometers with u-blox’ ADR system. Stolen vehicles can be located instantly due to continuous monitoring of sensor data and storage of location in non-volatile memory.
The module provides high sensitivity and fast GNSS signal acquisition and tracking. UART, USB, DDC (I2C compliant) and SPI interface options provide flexible connectivity and enable simple integration with most u-blox cellular modules. These modules use GNSS chips qualified according to AEC-Q100 and are manufactured in ISO/TS 16949 certified sites. They are qualified according to ISO 16750 - Environmental conditions and electrical testing for electrical and electronic equipment for road vehicles. They are available in a 24 pin LLC package that measures 12.2 x 16 x 2.4 mm.
