The 12D05A from NuPower is a solid state power amplifier that operates from 1700 MHz to 2400 MHz. It provides saturated RF power of 35 Watts in the L-band and 20 Watts in the S-band, with module efficiencies of 35% to 55%. With a nominal input drive level of 0 dBm, it offers 44 dB of RF gain. This amplifier requires a supply voltage of 26 to 30 VDC and consumes 3A of current. It features over-voltage protection and can operate over a wide temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C (baseplate). This PA is available in a module that measures 4.50” x 3.50” x 0.61” with SMA female connectors and is small enough for integration into a wide variety of air or ground-based tactical, test or training platforms. It can be used with communications and telemetry systems to provide range extension or with electronic warfare systems for airborne electronic attack (AEA) at low altitudes, including unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
