How to choose an RF power divider or Microwave power divider

RF Power dividers is a device that splits an input signal into two or more than two output signals with an equal phase with minimal losses.

The key specifications to look for in an RF power divider or splitter are:

Configuration: This is the number of ways the signal is split by the power divider. There are various configuration options available for rf and microwave power dividers – 2 Way, 3 Way, 4 Way or N Way.

Frequency (MHz): This is the frequency range over which the rf power splitter operates.

Package Type: There are a number of package options for microwave power dividers such as Module with Connector, Surface Mount, Plug-In, Flat Pack and Drop In.

Connectors: If the Package type is Module with connector, users can specify the type of connector they need for their application.

Impedance (Ohms): Power Dividers are usually available in 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm configurations.

Other Specifications: There are a number of other filters that can be used to further narrow down on the list of components, these can be found by visiting the power divider search page on everything RF.
