RF Power Meters

RF power meters are used to measure the input or output power of a device or system. Power sensors are used in conjunction with power meters to detect the signal power.

The main criteria when selecting a PLL are:

  • Equipment Type: Power meters can be be Fixed or Portable devices, the type of equipment is usually selected based on the intended application.
  • Channels: Power Meters are available in Single Channel and Doible Channel configurations.
  • Frequency (MHz): This is the frequency range over whic the power meter can detect the power of a signal, this is usually dependant on the power sensor being used.
  • Power Range (dBm): This is the range of power that can be detected by the rf power meter. This is also dependant on the power sensor being used.
