How to search for RF Power Meters

RF power meters are used to measure the input or output power of a device or system. Power sensors are used in conjunction with power meters to detect the signal power. The main criteria when selecting a Power Meter are:

Equipment Type: Power meters can be Fixed, Portable or Handheld devices, this is usually selected based on the intended application.

Channels: Power Meters are available in Single Channel and Double Channel configurations.

Measurements:This is the type of power measurements that the power meter can carry out – This includes Peak Power Measurements, Average Power Measurements etc.

Frequency (MHz): This is the frequency range over which the power meter can detect the power of a signal, this is usually dependent on the power sensor being used.

Power Range (dBm): This is the range of power that can be detected by the rf power meter. This is also dependent on the power sensor being used.

Connectors:This is the connector used to connect the sensor to the device.
