MACOM Announces Connectorized Switch Product Line for mm-Wave Applications

At the virtual International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2020, MACOM Technology has introduced a new connectorized switch product line with three new connectorized switch products, the MASW-011131, MASW-011138 and the MASW-011135. The new product line provides best-in-class performance on insertion loss, isolation and switching speed, and is ideal for a variety of general-purpose RF & millimeter-wave control applications. The product line utilizes MACOM’s proprietary diode technology.

The Connectorized Switch Product Line Consists of:

MASW-011131: The MASW-011131 is a connectorized 8 - 50 GHz reflective SP2T with an integrated TTL driver operating with +5 VDC and -10 VDC. The integrated logic control provides for a unique state where both RF ports can be placed into simultaneous isolation to create an ‘all off state’. This product provides typical isolation of 30 dB, an insertion loss of 3.3 dB, and fast 28 ns switching speed in a compact, 1.2” x 1.0” x 0.5” housing.

MASW-011138: The MASW-011138 is a connectorized 1 - 26.5 GHz reflective SPST with an integrated TTL driver operating with +5 VDC and -10 VDC. This product provides typical isolation of 50 dB, an insertion loss of 2.0 dB, and 36 ns switching speed in a compact, 1.2” x 1.0” x 0.5” housing.

MASW-011135: The MASW-011135 is a 2 - 26 GHz reflective SP2T with an integrated TTL driver operating with +5 VDC and -10 VDC. The integrated logic control provides for a unique state where both RF ports can be placed into simultaneous isolation to create an ‘all off state’. This product provides typical isolation of 30 dB, an insertion loss of 2.6 dB, and 70 ns switching speed in a compact, 1.2” x 1.0” x 0.5” housing.

These products were designed for use in high-reliability applications including Aerospace, Defense, Satellite, and Test and Measurement end markets.
