Mountain RF Sensors Launches Enhanced Ground-to-Air Transceiver

Mountain RF Sensors is an advanced technology RF manufacturer engaged in the design and fabrication of specialty radio frequency (RF) products for government and military customers. They have recently introduced an advanced version of their MtRF-7501 VHF/UHF Ground-to-Air Transceiver. It is based on their Software Defined Receiver (SDR) architecture that offers superior sensitivity and dynamic range. In addition to the AM/FM capabilities of the original version, this model now supports Single Side Band (SSB), both LSB, and USB modes. Custom digital modes can also be accommodated at the factory.

Featuring frequency ranges of 116 to 152 MHz (VHF) and 225 to 400 MHz (UHF), Model MtRF-7501 is geared for both civilian and government/military applications. The Ground-to-Air transceiver provides an RF output of 25 Watts AM, 50 Watts FM, and 100 Watts on SSB; giving equal performance without the unnecessary options. Mountain RF Sensors claims this solution is about 20% the cost of other systems from its competitors. Housed in 4U, 19 inch rackmount enclosure, it includes serial, USB, Ethernet, and remote display ports. The unit features a color touch screen standard, plus dedicated front panel controls for power, volume, squelch, tuning, and high/low power. This device operates from 90–250 VAC line power or 24–32 VDC.
