AR/RF Microwave Calibration Lab Receives ISO 17025:2005 Accreditation

The Calibration Lab at AR RF Microwave Instrumentation has achieved accreditation to ISO 17025:2005 by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The ISO/IEC 17025:2005 specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, non-standard methods, and laboratory-developed methods. This standard is used by laboratories in developing their management system for quality, administrative and technical operations. Laboratory customers, regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies may also use it in confirming or recognizing the competence of laboratories.

This important certification came after a thorough assessment and extensive review of AR’s quality management system and its competence to perform calibrations on many AR-designed and manufactured field probes and field analyzers. The company’s calibration lab is located at its headquarters in Souderton, PA, the same location where its EMC field probes and field analyzers are designed and manufactured. AR RF’s scope of accreditations cover the calibration of models FL7030FL7006FL7218FA7006, and FA7218 in accordance with the IEEE 1309:2013 standard.

A2LA’s (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation) world-class accreditation services encompass testing and calibration laboratories, medical testing laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers, reference material producers and product certification bodies. Organizations are accredited to international standards and field-specific requirements developed with government and industry collaboration.
