Passive Plus Releases Thin Film Attenuators, Inductors and Thermal Conductors

Manufacturer of high-performance RF/Microwave passive components, Passive Plus Inc (PPI), has added new high quality resistors and Thin Film components (Standard and Custom designed), to its portfolio. The products are designed for RF, microwave, telecommunications, medical, fiber optics, defense, space and commercial industries.

PAT Series - Thin Film Fixed Attenuators: Attenuators in circuits are used to lower the amplitude of the signal a known amount, to lower voltage, dissipate power, and to improve impedance matching. PPI attenuators are known for their low SWR and flat frequency response. Product Features:

  • Style: Standard Attenuators
  • Attenuation Range: 0.5 dB to 24.5 dB
  • Operating Frequencies: DC to 40 GHz
  • Power Handling: 250 mW to 16 W

PTC Series - Thin Film Thermal Conductors: Conductors are passive heat exchangers that transfers the heat generated by an electronic device to a thermal ground plane or any specific thermal point where it gets dissipated away from the device. Product Features:

  • Style - Thermal Conductors
  • Insulation Resistance - 1012 Ω min at 25˚C

PLS Series - Thin Film Spiral Inductors: Inductors are one of the three passive linear circuit elements that make up electronic circuits. They are also used in electronic filters to separate signals of different frequencies, to block AC while allowing DC to pass, and in combination with capacitors to make tuned circuits. Product Features:

  • Style - Spiral Inductors
  • Inductance Operating - 1.2 nH to 28 nH
  • Frequency - DC to 500 MHz

PPI’s production facilities include an in-house RF lab that enables the company to characterize both commercial and MIL-PRF-55342 Class H qualified parts. Capabilities include, but are not limited to, filled vias, gold bumping, and castellations on substrates from AlN to Quartz. Standard lead times are typically 4-8 weeks.
