The AWMF-0164 from Anokiwave is a highly integrated silicon quad core IC for 5G phased array applications. The chipset has been developed for the 26 GHz 5G band and operates from 24.25 to 27.5 GHz. It supports four Tx/Rx radiating elements, includes all requisite beam steering controls for phase and gain control, and operates in a half duplex fashion to enable a single antenna to support both Tx and Rx operation. In Tx mode the chipset provides a gain of 25 dB and an adjustable output power of up to 15.5 dBm and in Rx mode it provides a gain of 30 dB with a noise figure of 4.5 dB.

Additional features include gain compensation over temperature, temperature reporting, Tx power telemetry, and fast beam switching using on-chip beam weight storage registers. The AWMF-0164 features ESD protection on all pins, operates from +1.8 V and +2.5 V supplies, and is packaged in a 3.6 x 3.6 mm WLCSP (wafer level chip scale package) for easy flip chip installation in planar phased array antennas.
