The Monarch GMS01Q from Sequans is a Single-Mode LTE Cat M1 Module that is designed for IoT applications. It is based on Sequans’ Monarch LTE platform that provides significant improvements in performance and power consumption over the previous version while offering seamless migration. The module consists of a single-SKU RF front end, LTE-optimized transceiver, and an embedded orange SIM that allows deployment in global bands. It provides a Tx power of up to 23 dBm and has an uplink datarate up to 300 kbps and a downlink of up to 375 kbps. The module offers a carrier-proven LTE protocol stack and a comprehensive software package for over-the-air device management and packet routing. It is compatible with the host running Linux, Windows, and a wide range of embedded real-time operating systems. The module is available in an LGA package that measures 20 x 21 x 1.5 mm and is ideal for IoT and M2M devices.
