The TDMA Mesh (Adhoc) from Tualcom is an S-Band Compact Data Link. It is based on the TDMA communication algorithm and can be used in applications where a communication network needs to be established. This data link has a compact size and consumes low power, which allows terminals to be used across many platforms such as mini, midi, and tactical UAVs. It utilizes the TDMA technique to enable the use of both point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communication, thereby allowing multiple users to communicate over a wide bandwidth.
This mesh data link incorporates an SDR modem in which advanced modulation techniques such as CFPSK and PSK are used for improved performance and spectrum utilization. It supports various spread spectrum techniques like FHSS or DSSS along with a 256-bit AES encryption scheme for enhanced security. This data link also includes a relay capability for establishing mesh networks with self-healing and self-forming features. It allows participants to automatically join, rejoin, or leave the network, resulting in an ad-hoc network operation.
The TDMA Mesh (Adhoc) delivers an output power of up to 20 W and a data rate of 10 Mbps. It requires a DC supply from 24 to 32 V and consumes 35 W of power. This data link is available in a MIL-STD-810G standard module that measures 13.2 x 6.0 x 1.5 cm with SMA connectors and is ideal for convoy connectivity, relay capability, swarm UAV/UWA/UGA, mesh network communication, range/position calculation, and tactical communication applications.
