The F4 Series from Linx Technologies is a self-contained high-performance GPS receiver module. It provides an exceptional sensitivity of -159.5 dBm, even in dense foliage and urban canyons. The GPS module can acquire and track up to 48 satellites simultaneously in just seconds, even at the lowest signal levels. It operates at a low supply of 1.8 V and provides five GPIO lines that allow the application software to monitor and control events without the need of a microcontroller. The module consumes 33 mA of current in tracking mode and 20 uA of current in standby mode. It requires no programming or additional RF components (except an antenna) to form a complete GPS receiver solution. The module has a built-in jammer remover that tracks up to 8 CW jammers. It is available in a compact reflow-compatible SMD package and is ideal for location, tracking, positioning and navigation applications.
