The Hornet Series ORG1511-MK05 from OriginGPS is a GNSS Module with Integrated Antenna. It supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, SBAS and QZSS constellations. This module has a hot start time of less than 1 s, warm start time of less than 29 s and cold start time of less than 31 s. It is based on OriginGPS Noise Free Zone System (NFZ) technology and can operate autonomously. The module has 99 search channels and 33 simultaneous tracking channels that provide accuracy better than 2.5 m. It is fully integrated with an antenna element, Dual-stage LNA, SAW filter, TCXO, RTC crystal, GNSS SoC, LDO regulator, and RF shield.
The ORG1511-MK05 has a tracking sensitivity of -162 dBm, a navigation sensitivity of up to -160 dBm and a reacquisition sensitivity of -157 dBm. It supports concurrent tracking of multiple constellations and various SBAS constellations like WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, and GAGAN. This module has AGPS support with Embedded Assist System (EASY) and Extended Prediction Orbit (EPO). It features jamming rejection with 12 multi-tone Active Interference Cancellation (AIC).
This GNSS module requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 91.8 mW of power. It supports various power management modes like Full Power Continuous, Standby, Periodic, and AlwaysLocate. The module can be controlled via UART and I2C interfaces. It is available in a surface-mount LGA package that measures 10 x 10 mm and is ideal for smartwatches, wearable devices, asset trackers and automotive applications.
