The LC29D from Quectel is a Multi-Constellation GNSS Module that uses both L1 and L5 bands for GPS, Galileo, and QZSS satellites, the L1 band for GLONASS and BeiDou satellites, and the L5 band for IRNSS satellites. Based on Broadcom's BCM47758 chipset, this dual-band module has an integrated LNA and SAW filters, which will filter out the undesirable interfering frequencies and increase the signal strength of weak radio signals to improve the system’s sensitivity. It supports both RTK and dead-reckoning algorithms to providing sub-meter level accuracy and exhibits excellent performance in deep urban canyons.

The module has an embedded 6-axis MEMS sensor that allows it to quickly report motion, which enables consistent high-precision positioning capabilities when combined with the dead reckoning (DR) algorithm, even in weak-signal environments such as tunnels and underground parking structures.

The LC29D uses the 28 nm process and an integrated low power consumption algorithm, which significantly extends the battery life and makes the module ideal for power-sensitive devices such as small eMobility vehicles, e-Scooters, and e-Skateboards, as well as trackers. It is available in an ultra-compact package that measures 16.0 × 12.2 × 2.4 mm with SPI, UART, and I2C interfaces and supports the SDK command developed by Quectel.
