The CMPA5259050S from Wolfspeed is a GaN High Electron Mobility Transistor (HEMT) MMIC based Power Amplifier that operates from 5 to 5.9 GHz. It provides a saturated output power of up to 50 W with a power gain of over 23 dB and a PAE of up to 56%. The transistor requires a DC supply of 28 V. It is available in a surface-mount QFN or a ceramic package with metal flanges and is suitable for radar amplifier applications such as AESA radars, defense radars, fire control radars, naval/marine/ground protection radars and weather radars.
