The DM-X400-04 from Diamond Microwave is a compact pulsed X-band GaN SSPA that operates from 8.2 to 9.5 GHz. It provides peak pulsed output power of more than 400 W (+53 dBm) over a 1300 MHz bandwidth, operating with pulse widths up to 100 µs and with duty cycles up to 15%. The SSPA has built-in phase control to optimize power combining and is a compact alternative to vacuum tube amplifiers (TWT) in demanding defence, aerospace and communications applications. It is available in a slimline module that measures 150 mm x 197 mm x 30 mm with N-type output connectors (a waveguide interface can be offered as an option). The design is flexible in layout and architecture and can be tailored to meet individual specifications and enclosure requirements.

This product can be combined to achieve more than 900 W with an external Diamond Microwave 2 way power combiner (see DM-X1K0-03). An internal electronically adjusted phase offset can be applied to optimise power combining with alternative combiners.
