The LW10-797596 from Linwave Technology is a Bi-directional GaN Amplifier that operates from 3 to 6 GHz. In the Tx mode, it delivers a saturated output power of above 35 dBm with a gain of 20 dB and has a transmit efficiency of 37%. In the Rx mode, it delivers a gain of 20 dB with a noise figure of less than 5.5 dB and has a saturated power of more than 5 dBm. This class AB amplifier employs proprietary matching networks and has an automatic Tx/Rx switching speed of less than 125 us. It requires a DC supply of 28 V, consumes under 2 A of current while transmitting and less than 1 A of current while receiving.

The LW10-797596 is ideal for pulsed or CW amplification and features built-in protection against overvoltage & overtemperature with auto-shutdown. It is available in an IP66-rated enclosure that measures 82.6 x 50.8 x 22.4 mm with SMA-Female connectors. This amplifier meets the MIL-STD-810F standard for humidity & altitude tolerance and might need an external heatsink for cooling. It is suitable for application in airborne, aircraft & UAV equipment, power amplifier stage in wireless infrastructure, RF telemetry and Software Defined Radios.
