The ADM-0040M from Marki Microwave is a GaAs pHEMT distributed LO amplifier that operates from DC to 40 GHz. This amplifier has been designed specifically for use as LO amplifiers. It can operate of a single positive bias only, or with a low negative bias for reduced current draw. The amplifier has a minimum current draw for a given bandwidth and output power. It has a small signal gain of 12 dB with negative bias, a noise figure of 5 dB and a TOI of 25 dBm. The amplifier provides a saturated output power of 22 dBm at 1 dB compression with a return loss of 18 dB and requires a 5 to 8 V bias voltage with a 160 mA current draw. It can be used in LO buffer amplification, clock distribution, and general purpose signal amplification for electronic warfare and test and measurement applications.
