The NW-BA-SCISR-20-M02 from NuWaves is a Tri-Band Bidirectional Amplifier that operates in the C, L & S Bands. In the C-band, it operates from  4400 to 4990 MHz, provides a saturated output power of 10 W with a gain of 10 dB and a noise figure of 3 dB. In the L-band, it operates from 1350 to 1390/ 1755 to 1850 MHz and provides a saturated output power of 20 W with a gain of 17 dB and a noise figure of 3.5 dB. In the S-band, it operates from  2025 to 2500 MHz, provides a saturated output power of 20 W with a gain of 15 dB and a noise figure of 3.5 dB.

The amplifier requires a supply of 28 VDC and supports half-duplex and full-duplex operations.  It features an auto-sense T/R capabilities with a switching speed of 2-μs, supports TTL logic (3.3V or 5V), and can automatically detect the modes (Tx/Rx) in each channel, independent of the operational modes of the other channels.

This amplifier is designed to support secure CDL ISR (SCISR) software-defined radio communications and acts as an easy-to-integrate addition to any ground or airborne terminal. It is available in a module that measures 7.25 x 4.50 x 1.375 inches with 6 SMA female connectors.  The module is ideal for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), remote video terminals (RTV), unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), and applications requiring T/R bidirectional amplification in the L, S, and C-bands.
