The H1000A from thinkRF is a compact, rugged, fanless, networked and remotely deployable multiband cellular power amplifier that operates from 715 MHz to 2.7 GHz. It delivers an output power of 10 W with a gain of up to 43 dB.
The amplifier has versatile power options that make it a perfect asset for use cases in homeland security, emergency communications, TSCM (non-linear junction detection) and rural communications. The amplifier is fully integrated with a regulated power supply, surge suppressor and battery interface. It supports Hybrid-mode operation to enable an uninterrupted power source when switching from vehicle power to battery power and back. The hot-swappable battery feature allows the users to swap one battery at a time. It can be operated by 12 V vehicle power or an over-the-counter mountable V-mount camera battery. Camera batteries can easily be stacked up based on the power requirement of the application. This provides an uninterrupted operational use for Electronic Warfare (EW) or Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) applications.
The amplifier has a built-in microprocessor which simplifies set-up and diagnostics. The Ethernet port allows access to diagnostic functions like monitoring the input voltage and current, measurement of internal unit temperatures and the level of the RF input power.
The H1000A is available in an IP66 rated enclosure that measures 267 x 227 x 200 mm with TNC connectors. It is designed to withstand operation in harsh conditions and ensures rain and dust will not interfere with amplifier operation. The amplifier has strong and secure connectors which prevent accidental disconnection during operation. It has a fan-less design and passive cooling also ensures the amplifier is not vulnerable to outside elements or to failures due to shock and vibration.
