The TFTA1005 from Triad RF Systems is an X-Band Frequency Translating Amplifier that upconverts an input frequency from 2125-2625 MHz to an output frequency from 8000 to 8500 MHz. The class AB amplifier delivers a saturated output power of 36 dBm with a gain of more than 27 dB (±1.5 dB) and has a switching time of less than 2 µs. It uses the latest transistor technology to achieve highly linear power with low distortion, or peak power at high efficiencies to meet any radio system's requirements.

The Frequency Translating Amplifier requires a DC supply voltage of from 10 to 14 V and draws up to 2 A of current. It has been designed to support various signal types and modulation formats from simple CW/FM/AM signals to complex, highly modulated carriers such as 64 and 256QAM, 3G-4G telecom, WLAN, OFDM and DVB.

The TFTA1005 is available in a module that measures 2.7 x 1.3 x 0.58 inches and has MMCX/SMP RF connectors.
