The RC1882CEF-MIOTY1 from Radiocrafts is an RF Module based on MIOTY Technology that operates at 868 MHz. MIOTY is a low-power, wide-area network (LPWAN) protocol that was designed to have the best-in-class reliability and scalability of all available LPWAN technologies today to support massive industrial and commercial IoT deployments. The module has an output power of 14 dBm and a sensitivity (PER 10 %) @ 400b/s of -129 dBm. It requires a supply voltage of 1.8-3.8 V and has a current consumption of 6 mA (Rx) and 25 mA (Tx). This MIOTY Complaint module is available in a compact surface-mount package and measures 12.7 x 25.4 x 3.7 mm. It is ideal for Large scale massive LPWAN, Smart Metering, Smart City, Industry 4.0, and Long-range sensor applications.

The module is based on patented MIOTY technology and follows ETSI technical specification TS 103 357 Low Throughput Network. This LPWAN module contains a communication controller with an embedded MIOTY protocol software and is pre-certified for operation under the European and US/FCC regulations. It has an ultra low power mode which can extend the battery operations. The module has a chipset with a flash memory of 352 kB and RAM size of 80 kB. It supports EEPROM and SPI interface and operates as a radio modem with serial UART interface and AT command set.
