The MAKO-X from EMCORE is a C/X-Band RF Over Fiber Transceiver that operates from 3.4 to 8.4 GHz and is designed for high-speed fiber optics communication applications. The transceiver uses two fiber cores and combines C/X band transmitter and receiver capability in a single highly ruggedized package that is tested to MIL-STD-810G & MIL-STD-461F standards. It features a full-duplex operation, a high spurious-free dynamic range of 105 dB-Hz, phase noise of -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz, and a 1550 nm DWDM laser (1310 nm/1620 nm for WDM). This transceiver requires a DC supply of 24 V and consumes less than 9 W of power.

The MAKO-X is available in an IP67-rated flange-mount enclosure that measures 165 x 140 x 66 mm with N-type (female) connectors. It is suitable for use in applications such as electronic warfare systems, interfacility links, antenna remoting, and signal processing systems.
