The RFMR57-CTRM-020SP-500A-SM from RFHIC is a GaN Transmitter/Receiver (T/R) Module that operates from 5.4 to 5.9 GHz. It is fabricated using GaN on SiC technology, resulting in higher power density, efficiency, wider bandwidth, and efficient thermal management. This C-band transceiver delivers an output power of 20 watts with a Tx gain of 40 dB. The device has a duty cycle of 10% and a pulse width of 50 us. On the Rx side, it provides a gain of 25 dB with a noise figure of 3.5 dB. The attenuator and 6-Bit phase shifter are controlled by serial data or bias sequencing.

The device has a built-in circulator that provides duplex functions and a built-in limiter diode to protect the receiver. Both RF ports have integrated DC blocking capacitors and are fully matched to 50 ohms. This Lead-free and RoHS-compliant transceiver is available in a module that measures 26.5 x 124.5 x 14 mm with SMA/SMP connectors and is ideal for C-band radar applications.
