The Heatwave Tough™ from Confidex is an RFID Tag with high-temperature resistance and good performance on metallic surfaces. It uses an NXP UCODE 7xm+™ IC and provides a read range of up to 9 m on metal and up to 2 m on plastic. This tag has a 448-bit EPC, 96-bit TID, 384-bit digital signature, and a user memory of 2048 bits. It uses a special epoxy-based engineering composite material to operate from -40 to +85°C (peak temperature of 250°C for up to 50 minutes). The tag is available in an IP68-rated package that measures 50 x 30 x 3 mm with optional backside adhesive for high temperatures. It complies to UHF RFID / EPCglobal Gen2v2 standards and operates from 865 to 869 MHz (ETSI) and 9092 to 928 MHz (FCC).
