The VSX3696 from CPI is a X-Band GaN Solid State Amplifier that operates from 9 to 10 GHz and is optimized for pulse radars. It provides a saturated peak output power of 1.8 kW with a gain of 58 dB. The amplifier has a pulse width of 1 to 100 µs and a duty cycle of up to 10%. It utilizes GaN transistors to provide high gain, high efficiency, and excellent pulse fidelity providing good AM/PM, phase-noise, and spectral re-growth.

This rugged and reliable amplifier measures 14.1 x 1.875 x 10 inches and is available with an SMA-Female connector at the input and a Half-height WR90 waveguide at the output. It is ideal for pulsed radars, airborne radars, and TWTA replacements applications.
