IRT-2110 Image

The IRT-2110 from Collins Aerospace is a SATCOM Transceiver to provide flight crews with voice and data communications over the global Iridium® satellite network. It is a dual-channel device that incorporates a single Iridium transceiver (LBT) for global voice and data communications and a Short Burst Data (SBD) modem dedicated to data link services. This transceiver supports Future Air Navigation System (FANS) and Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) requirements. It provides connections to customary and standard flight deck voice and data systems. The transceiver requires a DC supply of 28 V.

The IRT-2110 offers telecom connections flexibility via conventional telephony devices through either standard 2-wire “Tip and Ring” circuits or 4-wire audio connections. It supports features which include intercom calling, call transfer, conferencing, and follow-on dialing. This transceiver meets all of the standards and compliances to support installations and certification on any aircraft model. It is available in an enclosure that measures 39.83 x 5.72 x 19.30 cm and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +55°C.
