The CellAdvisor 5G from Viavi Solutions is a 5G Portable Base Station Analyzer that is capable of testing and trouble-shooting concurrent multi-technology and multi-carrier cellular signals. It is designed for 4G and 5G radio access networks and performs signal analysis tests for stand-alone LTE or 5G technologies. This analyzer offers the capability to perform concurrent LTE and 5G signal analysis as non-standalone (NSA) signal analysis. It supports carrier aggregation, MIMO verification, and beamforming analysis. The analyzer performs quick and reliable concurrent FR1 (sub-6 GHz) and FR2 (mm-wave) signal analysis by eliminating the need to rapidly switch between these dual ports. It improves the measurement accuracy by eliminating the compensation of different cable and connection losses.

The CellAdvisor 5G has an NSA Analyzer option mode that offers the concurrent multi-LTE measurements for applications where it is assigned as a master LTE (anchor) node for control plane and data and as a secondary node LTE for supplemental data. It indicates the power level and the signal dominance of each carrier. The analyzer is available in a module with USB ports, GPS, and two antenna interfaces and is ideal for 5G cell site installation, massive MIMO, active antenna beam validation, and interference analysis applications.
