The RSV2522 series are Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillators (VCSO) that generate frequencies of 800 MHz, 1 GHz, 1.6 GHz and 2 GHz. The VCSOs use high performance SAW resonators to generate 800 MHz and 1 GHz frequency outputs, and have a frequency doubler to reach 1.6 GHz and 2 GHz frequencies, respectively. The VCSOs have a noise floor as low as -172 dBc/Hz (for 1GHz output) and have outstanding broadband jitter performance of below 10 fs. They are available in a 25 x 22 x 5 mm SMD package and are ideal for telecommunications, avionics, Instrumentation, high speed converter and test & measurement applications.

The VCSOs can be easily locked to a stable reference through a Phase Locked Loop system, or they can be used as a SAW clock without the need for external circuitry. The RSV2522 require a single +5V power supply, and operates over the full industrial temperature range from -40 to +85°C.
