The CobaltFx FEV-10 from Copper Mountain Technologies is a Frequency Extension System that operates from 75 to 110 GHz. This cost-effective millimeter-wave system can be used to build a scalable and affordable 5G testing solution. It supports the measurement of the full s-parameter matrix and comes with all the necessary standard-length cables and waveguide calibration kits. The extenders are packaged in small and versatile enclosures that allow for flexible port arrangements. It has a WR10 waveguide interface which is manufactured in accordance with the new IEEE 1785-2a standard and ensures good alignment and repeatability of connection, allowing for long time intervals between calibrations.

The system can be anchored by four-vector network analyzers:

  • C4209 2-port 9 GHz VNA
  • C4409 4-port 9 GHz VNA
  • C4220 2-port 20 GHz VNA
  • C4420 4-port 20 GHz VNA

The CobaltFx FEV-10 can be used for a variety of applications including antenna range measurements, material characterization, wafer s-parameter measurements, automotive radar & sensor testing, etc.
