The CobaltFx FEV-12 from Copper Mountain Technologies is a Millimeter-Wave Frequency Extension System that can convert a VNA with an input RF frequency from 5 - 7.5 GHz to operate from 60 - 90 GHz. It delivers more than 2 dBm of power at the test port and has a dynamic range of 110 dB. This frequency extension system can handle an RF input power of 0 dBm and has a raw coupler directivity of 45 dB. It is compatible with Copper Mountain’s vector network analyzers (VNA) and comes with all necessary standard-length cables and waveguide calibration kits. The system requires a DC supply of 6 V and consumes 2.2 A of current.

The CobaltFx FEV-12 is available in a small and versatile enclosure that measures 220 x 105 x 80 mm and has SMA (F) & WR12 waveguide connectors. It is ideal for antenna range measurements, material characterization, wafer s-parameter measurements, automotive radar, and sensor testing applications.
