The FET1854 from Copper Mountain is a frequency extender that upconverts an input frequency from 4.5 to 8 GHz to an output frequency of 18 to 54 GHz. It works with Copper Mountain's Cobalt Series 9 GHz VNAs. These VNAs have fast sweep speeds down to 0.2 microseconds per point and a dynamic range of up to 162 dB, all comprised in a compact, USB form factor. The extender has a high dynamic range of 140 dB and directivity of 38 dB that allows for highly accurate and stable millimeter-wave S-parameter measurements. It is available in a compact enclosure that measures 240 x 144 x 60 mm and is ideal for 5G applications.
