The S5180B from Copper Mountain Technologies is a 2-Port Vector Network Analyzer that operates from 100 kHz to 18 GHz. It has a built-in pulse modulator, synchronizer, and a set of logical generators supporting various pulse generation options and corresponding measurement modes. Pulses can be generated Synchronously or Asynchronously with respect to VNA measurement timing. This VNA supports 2 to 200,001 measurement points and has a dynamic range of 121 dB from 16 to 18 GHz.

The S5180B VNA includes an RF measurement module and the S2 software application which runs on Windows or Linux operating system on a PC, laptop, tablet, or x86 board computer connecting to the measurement hardware via USB interface. The S2 software can be installed on multiple computers, making it easy to share the use of the analyzer measurement module. It has a 1.5 GHz CPU with 1 GB RAM and USB 2.0 interface. The VNA is available in an enclosure that measures 360 x 200 x 65 mm with N-type (female) connectors.

This VNA can operate over both AC and DC supply and consumes less than 40 W of power.
