The APV Series of Phased Locked VCO's from AtlanTecRF can be tuned to have a fixed output frequency from 10 MHz to 32 GHz. These compact Oscillator units can be used in communication systems as a high quality local Oscillator with the ability to lock to a high stability external reference of 10 MHz or 100 MHz. They provide an output power of over 13 dBm with harmonics typically better than -30 dBc, spurious at -70 dBc and 10KHz offset phase noise of -110dBc/Hz at 175MHz and -75 dBc/Hz at 25 GHz. They require a 5 V DC supply and draw 400 mA of current.
The VCO's are available in a module that measures 2.25 x 2.25 x 0.62 inches and have SMA female RF output and reference input connectors. Each APV Oscillator comes with a TTL lock alarm and there is an option for self-contained operation with an internal reference of +/-0.5ppm stability over the -10+70C temperature range.
