The BQ500215 from Texas Instruments is a wireless power transmitter IC with a 10W charging capability. This IC is Qi-Certified WPC v1.1 solution for 5W operation and integrates the logic functions required to control wireless power transfer to a single WPC-compliant receiver. The BQ500215 is an intelligent device that has enhanced foreign object detection (FOD) functions periodically pings surrounding environment for available devices to be powered and detects foreign metal objects prior to power transfer. The power receiver has 10 configurable LED modes that indicate charging state and fault status with low standby power during idle and charge complete. It is available in 64-pin VQFN package that measures 9 x 9 mm.
