Automotive Antennas
Automotive antennas are the antennas used in vehicles to receive and transmit radio signals. They are essential components and integral parts of modern vehicles for providing wireless communication service both inside and outside of the vehicle. The antennas placed on the vehicle outside provide wireless connectivity for Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) applications, supporting advanced driver assistant system (ADAS), GNSS, GPS, AM/FM vehicle radio systems, satellite radio, and cellular network (e.g., 4G, 5G) connectivity to support V2N (vehicle- to-Network) application & phone calls and data. Automotive antennas fitted inside an ECU or infotainment system are helpful for in-vehicle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
Automotive antennas come in various types such as monopole antenna, patch antenna, on-glass antenna, sharkfin Antenna, chip antenna, whip antenna, embedded antenna, and more. They come in different mounting styles, which include window mount, magnetic mount, glass mount, through-hole mount, surface mount, spring mount, etc.
