What are YIG Filters?
YIG filters are developed using YIG Spheres. Yttrium Iron Garnet (YIG) is a ferrite material that resonates at microwave frequencies when immersed in a DC magnetic field. YIG spheres are known to have a very high Q during resonance. The resonant frequency of YIG is directly proportional to the strength of the applied magnetic field. YIG is used to develop filters that need a very wide runing range. There are YIG filters that can be tuned from 1 GHz all the way up to 50 GHz. Both band pass and band stop filters can be developed using this technology.
everything RF has listed YIG Filters from the leading manufacturers. Use the search tools to narrow down on YIG filter products by frequency, bandwidth, tuning range and other parameters. Once you find products that meet your requirement you can view detailed product specs, download datasheets and request quotations. Quotes for YIG filters requested through the website will be directed to the manufacturers who will get back to you with the details.
