Johnson, a part of Cinch Connectivity Solutions, have created SMA end launch connectors to transition high frequency microwave energy from coaxial to planar transmission line structures. These in-line connectors are designed to attach directly to a high frequency coplanar waveguide transmission line and minimizes reflections compared to perpendicular PCB mounted connectors. Rated to operate with frequencies up to 26.5 GHz and interfacing with PCB layers as thin as 8 mils, these SMA connectors are ideal for a wide range of applications from small RF identification tags and GPS antennas to radar systems and automated test equipment.
