The IS-BP Series from TDK Corporation are Biomass Radio Wave Absorbers that have a frequency range of up to 110 GHz. They incorporate biomass IS materials that cover a wide frequency range from microwaves to millimeter waves and sub-millimeter waves, exhibiting excellent radiowave absorption performance. These absorbers utilize foamed polyethylene as a base material along with ohmic loss of carbon. They incorporate more than 25% of biomass material and reduce CO2 emissions by 13% compared to TDK’s conventional product (IS-012A). These radio wave absorbers exhibit very similar characteristics and flame retardancy properties as TDK’s conventional products. They measure up to 300 mm in length and have obtained Symbol mark certification.
