The GaN-DBS-SSPA-BUC-300-550W from Celestia TTI is a Block Up Converter + Solid-State Power Amplifier (BUC-SSPA) that converts input frequencies (IF) from 950-2050 MHz to output frequencies (RF) from 17.3-18.4 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 550 W with a gain of more than 75 dB. This BUC has spurious levels of up to -60 dBc and a phase noise of -65 dBc/Hz (at 100 Hz offset). It is based on GaN technology that offers excellent performance in outdoor operations. This BUC-SSPA ensures no memory effects and limited back-off that guarantees support for an unlimited number of carriers. It can be combined with multiple SSPAs in phase to deliver output power in the order of kW on built-in redundancy and hot-swappable amplification modules.

The GaN-DBS-SSPA-BUC-300-550W exhibits high linearity for maximum usable output power to provide customized linearization independent of the modulation method used. It is equipped with advanced packaging and cooling techniques that enable the device to be operated in the toughest environments. This BUC SSPA also has RS-485/USB (ASCII) and Ethernet ports (Telnet, HTTP) for full monitoring and control, and integrates discrete lines for mute and turn ON/OFF functions. It also provides an option to integrate receive reject and harmonic filters externally to fine-tune the performance. This BUC is available in a weatherproof enclosure that measures 550 x 450 x 278 mm with N-type (female)/SMA (female) input connectors and WR62-waveguide-grooved output interfaces.

It requires an AC supply from 90 to 264 V and consumes less than 1700 W of power.
