The 8V97003 is a Wideband Microwave Synthesizer / Phase Lock Loop (PLL) that can generate output frequencies up to 18 GHz. This device has an integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) with a figure of merit of -237 dBc/Hz and very low phase noise and RMS phase jitter. The synthesizer provides a very low output-to-output and input-to-output phase skew drift in temperature across the entire temperature range from -40°C to +95°C, reducing radio path recalibration occurrences in beamforming applications, such as 5G radio card massive MIMO systems. It operates from a single 3.3 V power supply and has low noise integrated LDOs for excellent power supply noise immunity. The 8V97003 is available in a 7 x 7 mm 48-VFQFN package and is ideal for massive MIMO, wireless backhaul, 5G mmWave, satellites and phased array antennas applications.
