The 8V97053L from Renesas is a high performance GSM1800 grade wideband RF synthesizer / PLL optimized for use as the local oscillator (LO) in multi-carrier, multi-mode FDD & TDD base station radio cards. It can synthesize a signal with a frequency from 34.375 to 4400 MHz with output power ranging from - 4 dBm to 7 dBm while maintaining a low phase noise. This synthesizer has a default fractional mode with the option for an Integer mode. It requires an external loop filter.
The 8V97053L has integrated high-performance low dropout regulators (LDOs) for power supply noise rejection and has lock detect indicators. It has an integrated Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) that maintains exceptional phase noise and spurious performance and supports Automatic VCO band selection (Autocal feature). The synthesizer is available in a 32-lead VFQFN package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is ideal for wireless infrastructure, test equipment, CATV Equipment, military and aerospace, wireless LAN, and clock generation applications.
This RF synthesizer/PLL requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and can be controlled via a 3- or 4-wire SPI interface.
