The Edge 1035 from Proxim is a Backhaul Radio that operates from 5.150 to 5.925 GHz. It supports 20 MHz, 40 MHz, and 80 MHz channel sizes (requires a license upgrade), 2x2 MIMO, and delivers a data rate of 380 Mbps. This radio is powered by Proxim’s WORP technology that enables efficient wireless broadband access in a packet-based network. It implements OFDM BPSK-QAM 256 modulation scheme and combines Proxim’s ClearConnect with other technologies such as dynamic channel selection (DCS) and dynamic frequency selection (DFS) to deliver the best interference management solution.
The Edge 1035 has an integrated 15 dBi 35-degree dual-polarity antenna and includes optional connectors for extended range. It consists of advanced QoS controls, committed interface rates, latency controls, IGMP snooping, and native multicast support offering a granular service level management and the best video performance. This radio supports AES 128-bit encryption with radius-based authentication, SSL/TLS1.2, SSH, and SNMPv3 for secure management. It includes an 802.3af/at-compliant Power Over Ethernet interface and consumes 10 W of power. This radio is available in an IP67-rated metal enclosure that measures 402 x 334 x 254 mm.
