The MP-820-BSU-100 from Proxim is a Point-to-Multipoint Backhaul/Base Station Unit that operates from 4.900 to 5.925 GHz (Subject to Country Regulations) with a wide channel bandwidth of 5 to 40 MHz. It has a 26 dBm high power transmitter and uses 2 x 2 MIMO technology. This Base Station unit can be used in city streets and offers high reliability for the connection of Video Surveillance, traffic monitoring and traffic light management systems.
The MP-820-BSU-100 is available in an IP-67 rated aluminum enclosure with Two N-type connectors. This product can also be used for in-vehicle mounting and supports transparent roaming for data on the move. The device with the help of Proxim’s roaming technology - FastConnect, is able to establish unparalleled handoff times and support delay-sensitive multimedia applications even when mobile at speeds of up to 285 km/h (196 mph).
