The Tsunami MP-826-CPE from Proxim Wireless is a Point-to-Multipoint Wireless Backhaul radio solution that operates from 5.900 to 6.425 GHz. The radio consists of a 2x2 MIMO, high-power radio that is capable of 25 dBm transmission power and is available with an integrated 15 dBi antenna. The radio provides 50 Mbps of throughput, with maximum data rates of 300 Mbps and can handle an input power of up to 15 W. MP-826-CPE is also adapted for in vehicle mounting and supports seamless roaming at speeds up to 295 km/h. It also has a carrier-grade prioritization platform supporting multiple service classes that can prioritize voice, video and data applications over the widest range of operating frequencies.
The backhaul uses Proxim’s proprietary Wireless Outdoor Routing Protocol (WORP), with features such as asymmetric bandwidth control, IGMP Snooping and interference mitigation features, to deliver exceptionally high system throughputs with minimal latency, jitter, and packet loss. It is available in an outdoor rated IP67 Metal enclosure that measures 126 x 219 x 65.5 mm and is ideal for the carrier, service provider and WISP market.
