The AMP4087P-1KW from Exodus Advanced Communications is a Solid-State Power Amplifier that operates from 1.20 to 1.40 GHz. It delivers a pulsed output of 1000 W with more than 60 dB of gain. This amplifier has a pulse width of up to 100 µS with a maximum duty cycle of 10%. It is ideal for standalone use or as a TWT driver for high-power pulse radars. The SSPA has spurious levels of less than -60 dBc and harmonics of -30 dBc. It is equipped with built-in protection circuits, and pulse fidelity and provides extensive monitoring parameters for forward/reflected power in Watts & dBm, VSWR, voltage, current, and temperature sensing for outstanding reliability and ruggedness. The amplifier also features Exodus’ quiet-cool technology for closed circuit air-liquid cooling.
The AMP4087P-1KW has an LCD control panel and can also be controlled remotely. It is available in a rack-mounted 3U chassis that measures 430 x 133 x 560 mm with N-type (female) connectors and is suitable for EMC/EMI, pulse, Mil-Std 461, and automotive pulse radar applications. The SSPA requires an AC supply from 100-240 V and consumes less than 800 W of power.
