The 6548 from Ophir RF is a TWT Power amplifier that operates from 7500 to 18000 MHz. It delivers a saturated output of 400 W with a gain of more than 57 dB. This amplifier features internal power supplies that have solid-state DC-DC converter designs with fast loop response times so that output level variations are minimal. Both cathode and collector power supplies and the heater supply have duty cycle-regulated designs. It offers complete TWT protection such as helix overcurrent, cathode over/undervoltage, collector overvoltage, filament low voltage, over-temperature, input energy limit, and reverse power monitoring.
The 6548 is also equipped with an IEEE-488 Remote Interface and a four-line display that shows operating mode, cathode voltage, collector voltage (s), helix current filament, and operate time. It is available in a rack-mount enclosure that measures 15.75 x 19.00 x 30.00 inches with an N-type input connector and WRD-750 output waveguide interface.
