The POL200Q from Polarity is a Pulsed Q-Band TWT Amplifier that operates from 43.5 to 45.5 GHz (47 to 52 GHz also available). It delivers 200 W of peak power with a gain of 65 dB and a duty cycle from 1% to 100%. The amplifier can run continuously with repetition rates above 300 kHz and short bursts of 600 kHz. It has an excellent thermal design which ensures reliable operation across ambient temperatures from -40°C to +75°C. The amplifier features high-speed fault detection (<3 us), an output arc detector, input/output isolator and reverse power detection. This high efficiency transmitter is designed for either ground mobile or airborne systems.
The Amplifier has a strong serial interface that communicates with a military proven MCU. The MCU provides advanced sync and control options and can be easily reconfigured for custom applications. A rich control protocol provides serial RS232/422/485, ethernet, and advanced user-friendly communication for data logging and cost-effective maintenance. The POL200Q is available in a rugged, ultra-lightweight enclosure and is suitable for short range, high resolution radar systems.
