The ADH941S from Analog Devices is a 5-bit GaAs Digital Attenuator MMIC that operates from 0.1 to 30 GHz. It provides a total attenuation of 15.5 dB where the attenuator bit values are 0.5 (LSB), 1, 2, 4, and 8 dB. The attenuator has an insertion loss of less than 4.4 dB (@ 30 GHz) and has an IIP3 of 45 dBm. It has a bit error of ±0.5 dB and can handle 27 dBm of power. It requires dual supply voltages of +5/-5V, and five control voltage inputs that toggle between +5V and 0V to select each attenuation state. This digital attenuator is available as a die that measures 90.2 x 37.4 mils and is ideal for use in test equipment, sensors, transceivers, military, and space applications.
