The DAT64LX from DS Instruments is a benchtop digital step attenuator that operates from 10 MHz to 6 GHz. This dual-channel wide band attenuator has an attenuation range from 0 to 63 dB with a 0.5 dB step size and has an insertion loss of less than 6 dB. The DAT64LX is a dual-control device, attenuation setting can be accomplished both by the user interface on the device or via USB port serial commands. The USB port is configured as a virtual COM port allowing user software to access the DAT64LX as if it were a standard serial COM device without any additional drivers.
